We visited the Parrot Patio Bar & Grill in Bradenton, FL, on a Friday for lunch. It was moderately busy, but we were almost immediately seated. We ordered our drinks and got them in under 2 minutes.
We ordered our food, and even that came in about 5 minutes. The service, atmosphere, and cleanliness were spot on.
The beef was medium-well done, moist, warm, and well seasoned. The amount was about average ( for Florida) and very tender. 4 points
The roll had “issues.” To start, it was a Kaiser roll covered in corn meal. The salt and caraway were added before the roll was toasted. Unfortunately, all the salt and caraway fell off when lifting the roll. The top was not dipped in au jus. It was fresh, toasted, and warm, but we were very disappointed overall. 1 point
The Au Jus was delicious. Fresh, flavorful, and with no hint of artificial flavors. 1 point
The horseradish was served in the correct amount and was spicy and tasty. 1 point
The pickle was crisp and dill and complemented the beef perfectly. 1 point
The fries were awesome – not greasy, hand-cut, and perfectly cooked.
Over, The Parrot scored 8/10 and is well worth the stop!
