First Impressions
We visited the Red Tiki on 9/10/25 at 11 AM. The outside of the Red Tiki is a little underwhelming. Inside, however, there is a large central bar with tables and multiple seating areas, including an outside area. It’s a Bills Bar (Go Bills) and has TV sets everywhere. Our server was Bryana, and she was pleasant. Once I began my (endless) series of questions, she wisely handed me over to the owner, Seth. Seth was a delight and gave us a tour, answered all my questions, and told stories about how he came to own and operate the bar. They have Molson on Tap and Labatt’s in bottles.
The B.O.W. is not on the menu, but I had called ahead to see if it was available. We ordered, and the sandwich came out in a reasonable time.
The Beef on Weck
The beef is cut from a roast and has a range of doneness from the outer layer to a nice medium rare. It was tender and savory but had a couple of small, grizzly parts. Not a big deal, as the beef was delightful.
The roll was a Kaiser roll that was washed with butter, and then salt and caraway seeds were added. The roll was also grilled on a flattop, making it a nice taste experience. The sandwich was well-constructed and held together when I cut it in half.
The sandwich is served with a pickle, a side of AuJus, and horseradish. The pickle was one of the best I have found in Florida – crispy, dill, and crunchy. The Au Jus was also nice with a umami richness. The Horseradish, like nearly all I have had in Florida, could have used more bite – but there was enough to give the sandwich a good nasal-clearing property. The sandwich cost $10.75 and did not include any sides.
Ambience & Experience
This is a bar full of surprises – an unassuming exterior, a Classic bar inside, and an amazing backyard area that is very impressive. There are more TVs than I could count to watch but it was quiet enough that we could hold a conversation.
Final Verdict: A
The food was great and pricing was reasonable. The beer is reasonably priced and the atmosphere pleasant. We are already planning to return.
