First Impressions

Tucked into a modest strip mall, Crazy Horse Saloon isn’t immediately inviting from the outside. The lack of windows and dim lighting can make it difficult to tell if they’re open. But once inside, the atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and pleasantly surprising. Service was fast, attentive, and friendly — our server handled all of our questions with patience and professionalism.

The Beef on Weck (Sliders Edition)

This is a unique twist on the traditional Beef on Weck. Rather than a standard sandwich, it comes as three sliders served on modified egg roll-style buns. While purists might scoff and label it a “NARBOW” (Not A Real Beef on Weck), we were genuinely impressed.

You can’t choose the doneness of the beef, but it was served tender, flavorful, and rich with umami — and importantly, free of gristle. The real showstopper was the rolls. They were expertly grilled on a buttered flattop, yielding a perfectly toasty outside while remaining light and fluffy inside. The tops were generously but tastefully seasoned with caraway seeds and salt that clung on throughout the meal.

Each slider came with a well-portioned cup of au jus and a crisp pickle spear on the side.
📝 Score: 14/15

The Side: Fries

The fries were nothing short of spectacular. Golden, crispy on the outside, and creamy on the inside, they might just be some of the best we’ve ever had.

Ambience & Overall Experience

This is unmistakably a Buffalo Bills bar, centered around a large wraparound bar. The interior was clean, well-maintained, and pleasantly aromatic — none of the stale beer or old-bar funk that sometimes haunts places like this. Prices were very reasonable, and the service remained stellar throughout our visit.
🏅 Atmosphere & Service: 9.8/10

Final Verdict: A+

Crazy Horse Saloon delivers a creative take on a Buffalo classic in an unexpectedly welcoming setting. Highly recommended — especially for fans of inventive comfort food done right.
