The restaurant is in Bradenton, Florida, and has ties to Buffalo. We went to the restaurant’s opening on a Monday and were the first to arrive.
The bun was toasted on the cut sides. The toppings of salt and caraway seeds were (incredibly) plentiful, but they all fell off after two bites. I was pretty disappointed in the bun.
The beef was well done ( as opposed to rare – that I requested), chewy, and generally missing that “cow” flavor. However, it wasn’t the worst based on the “typical” Florida B.O.W..
The roast beef had GRAVY (flavor note—it was brown). It looked like a small ladle full was just poured on top. No Au Jus was provided.
Horseradish was served on the side in an appropriate amount. It lacked as much heat as I liked and seemed a little old.
There was a pickle, and it was good.
The fries came out hot and crispy and were generally good. I much prefer unseasoned food service fries, but these were well-cooked.
